This may have been the quickest/most efficient shoot I’ve ever done, but I’m extremely happy with the results — a series of headshots for my friend Jacob, president & CEO of Souktel, completed just a few hours before he was about to board a plane for family holiday.
My friends Vanessa and Mustafa have been very good to me, trusting me and my camera to such significant events as their wedding and the arrival of their first daughter, Layla. I had the privilege of catching up with them recently and meeting daughter No. 2: Zoe.
As the eldest of four siblings, it’s always fun to see a big sister in the making.
Got to catch up with my friends Don and Amy over the weekend as I took portraits. The session also ended in a game of Old Maid, which I think should become a mandatory thing.
I first photographed their little girl Mabel about 14 months ago, when she looked like this (aka adorable). Still cute as ever, Mabel (and mom and dad) is getting ready for the arrival of a sibling. She’s going to be a great older sister.
It’s been almost a year since I photographed my friends Ryan and Marie and their adorable entourage, which is now one member stronger with the addition of Constance. This time Ryan’s sister Kari joined us, along with her fiancé Mike, and Ryan and Kari’s mom and her boyfriend. It was a whirlwind of portraits over Thanksgiving weekend, but with this crew, as always, tons of fun.
Thank you guys for asking me to do this. I love seeing your little ones grow up!
My friends Neel and Suchorita are the coolest people I know, so it’s fitting that we had The Pinball Cafe as our venue for family portraits — and my first meeting with their son, Tenzin, who’s almost four weeks old. Tenzin was committed to keeping his eyes closed during the whole shoot, really only opening them once I packed my camera away, but I feel we’ve come to an understanding for next time. : )
